If you’re here to make the most of fishing in New Smyrna Beach, look no further than HellOnReels.
Species like Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Almaco Jack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Lane Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with HellOnReels are fun for all ages, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ Sportcraft cuddy cabin with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Lenny will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with HellOnReels is just a click away.
