Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures – Ellijay
Ellijay has a fish with your name on it, so let Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Hunter, bringing aboard years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Striped Bass (catch and release),
Walleye, Spotted Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Hybrid Striped Bass, Sunfish, and plenty more. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your adventure begins aboard a 22’ Tidewater center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Cap’n Hoek Fishing Adventures is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
