Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks!
Capt. Mason welcomes you aboard a 27’ 271 Coastal Skiff with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All the gear and tackle you need is provided.
It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish and crabs have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses and sunblock. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Amazing Trip with Captain Mason

Thank You Captain Mason! We could not have asked for a better experience. Captain Mason was extremely helpful from the time we booked until the time we left. Prompt responses, on time, and well prepared. He took extra time and care to keep my 6 year informed and involved. He had a general plan, but let us decide on what we wanted to do. The weather was nice enough for us to get a good spot for fishing the first half and then do some crabbing the second half. There was only three of us (two adults and a 6 y/o) and we all had a blast... and we all learned some things about the types of fish and crabs that we caught. We will be back and definitely recommend Captain Mason to anyone thinking about a charter with kids or inexperienced fishers/crabbers.

3 hour kids fishing on July 31, 2024
We booked a 3 hour trip for the family, two of us have fished, the other two had not. Mason was great in showing them how to use the equipment and getting us on the fish. I had a request to do some crabbing as well, and he was able to accommodate! The kids tossed and pulled traps, we got a few keepers and everyone had a great time! Mason was very responsive over text leading up to the trip, and he was ready to go when we showed up at the dock. If you're looking for some family fun on the water, give him a call! I would not hesitate to fish with him again!

You & your group will be safe, have fun, and will definitely catch some fish. Mason knows the spots. My boys 12 & 10 really enjoyed themselves and I appreciate how he taught them some things and took the time to explain and show them the different fish they caught. Wonderful time with Captain Mason

We took our 7 yr old boy and 5 yr old girl wondering if our girl would get “bored halfway through.” They both had a blast and were reeling in fish before we knew it. We also got to pull some crab pots which was a bonus. To quote my 7 year-old, I give it a 10 out of 10! We had a blast on our Kids Fishing Trip with Captain Mason, he knew some great spots to hit and was so wonderful with the kids. Cannot recommend this charter enough!

Great Experience for Grandkids

We did the fish/crab trip and it exceeded my expectations. The captain was knowledgeable and great with the kids. The large, open flat bottom boat was stable and perfect for the trip. Our 4, 5, and 9 year olds were engaged throughout the trip and had a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this child family trip. Also, the crabbing trip before us came in with well over a bushel of large fat crabs.
