Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks!
Capt. Mason welcomes you aboard a 27’ 271 Coastal Skiff with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All the gear and tackle you need is provided.
It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish and crabs have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses and sunblock. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

I recently went on a morning fishing trip that exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we boarded, our captain made us feel welcome with his great personality and vast knowledge of the area. He was attentive and ensured everyone on the boat was having a fantastic time. We caught a lot of fish, which made the experience even more thrilling! What surprised me the most was my daughter, who wasn’t initially keen on going, ended up having such a blast that she asked if we could go again the very next day! That says it all about the awesome time we had. If you’re looking for a fun and memorable fishing adventure, I highly recommend this boat and crew! You won’t regret it!

If you're on the fence about booking this trip with Captain Mason - leap off and do it right now. Our family of 3 had an amazing time - and our teenage son, who is generally crabby about waaaay too many things - had a blast! Mason is knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, patient, personable - we truly couldn't have asked for a better person to take us. We felt as if we were hanging out with an old friend who also happened to have a boat and all things needed to fish and catch crabs - not someone who we just met. Our friendly competition ended with our son (who started off catching nothing) winning after catching 19 fish - he caught 2 fish at a time three separate times!! - my husband catching 18 and I caught 16 fish. On the way back we pulled up some crab traps and Mason explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. We learned a great deal. This was our first trip to the area and if we ever come back, we are definitely going to "hook up" with Mason again. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon, Mason! You're an absolute gem!

Mason was great with our whole family, especially our 5 year old. He was there early waiting for us and had everything ready to go. He explained all the things we did and answered all of our questions. We caught lots of crabs and he was experienced enough to know it was ideal weather for crabbing rather than fishing, and he was right. Would absolutely recommend this to a family looking for an enjoyable, easy couple of hours to keep kids and adults engaged.

Thank You Captain Mason! We could not have asked for a better experience. Captain Mason was extremely helpful from the time we booked until the time we left. Prompt responses, on time, and well prepared. He took extra time and care to keep my 6 year informed and involved. He had a general plan, but let us decide on what we wanted to do. The weather was nice enough for us to get a good spot for fishing the first half and then do some crabbing the second half. There was only three of us (two adults and a 6 y/o) and we all had a blast... and we all learned some things about the types of fish and crabs that we caught. We will be back and definitely recommend Captain Mason to anyone thinking about a charter with kids or inexperienced fishers/crabbers.

We booked a 3 hour trip for the family, two of us have fished, the other two had not. Mason was great in showing them how to use the equipment and getting us on the fish. I had a request to do some crabbing as well, and he was able to accommodate! The kids tossed and pulled traps, we got a few keepers and everyone had a great time! Mason was very responsive over text leading up to the trip, and he was ready to go when we showed up at the dock. If you're looking for some family fun on the water, give him a call! I would not hesitate to fish with him again!
