Book Me A Boat – 39' Flybridge
Charter Boat Royalty has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Chicago. Having logged many hours, your captain is prepared to put you on fish.
Species like Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Charter Boat Royalty are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a fun day. Remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 39' Pacemaker flybridge that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
We work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information available online, or available on the boat you can ask the captain. It's always wise to bring sunblock sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, please avoid glass bottles.
Charter Boat Royalty will make it easy for you to go fishing in Chicago. So, how about booking that trip?

Despite Chicago’s first real heat spell of the summer, 95° with a heat index of 103°, Captain Tim and First Mate Mitch never stopped working to ensure we had a great day! We booked a midday charter beginning at 10:00 a.m. We caught four beautiful rainbow trout and steelhead in the 10 to 12 pound range and had three more on that got away. Those were completely on us! Our 10 year old was determined to reel two in all by herself. The third time she accepted our help. Another came off right at the boat when my husband lifted the rod a little too high. That’s fishing, and honestly it made the stories even better. Captain Tim and Mitch were patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging with our family. They took the time to teach us and answer questions; and you could tell they genuinely wanted our 13 and 10 year olds to catch fish just as much as we did. They truly cared about making it a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a fun, family friendly charter with a crew that works hard and cares about their guests, we highly recommend Captain Tim and Mitch. Thank you both again!
I booked this trip after seeing some of the fish catches reported in the Chicago area. The possibility to catch big trout and salmon almost within the Chicago city limits was incredible. Captain Tim and First Mate Mitch were exceptional and entertaining; being patient with our novices. Make sure to bring a bigger cooler! The fish cleaning price of two dollars a fish is one of the best bargains there is!
Had a great time and caught a lot of fish. We were concerned about taking the afternoon trip with the sun blazing down but Tim and 1st mate Mitch were able to get us on fish quickly. We had a great day with a ton of laughs and a ton of fish to bring home. The booking was extremely smooth and easy. We will definitely e back and are already talking about booking a fall trip. Thank you very much Tim and Mitch!
Beautiful morning for a 6 hour fishing trip trolling on Lake Michigan! Capt Tim got us right on some massive lake trout (17-22 pounders), with a few salmon and a rainbow trout as well. Lots of space on this well equipped boat including a nice flybridge. Fishing was great, beautiful sunrise and great views of Chicago. But the highlight of the trip was Capt Tim and his first mate. They take care of everything while you reel in fish, and teach you along the way. They were great fishermen, but also great to talk with. Capt Tim is hilarious, kept us laughing the whole trip, and had great stories. We will certainly be booking with Capt Tim again!
Booked this sunset trip to celebrate our son’s high school graduation, and it was a great experience! Capt. Tim and his crew were professional, funny, and clearly knew what they were doing. The water was pretty choppy, but Capt. Tim navigated the vessel with ease. The fish weren’t biting much, but we still managed to catch six lake trout weighing between 15-18 lbs. I’ll definitely be booking again!

In the 80's as a kid, I used to watch my dad go fishing along the lakefront and take out boats with his friends. I sometimes got to come with along. As I grew into a teenager, fishing was the last thing on my mind. I became a complete gearhead obsessed with girls and anything with an engine. I worked during high school and had an assortment of jobs. This is where I think I got my bold outgoing personality. I Graduated from Wyoming Tech with an associate's degree in business management and a degree in building race cars and welding. I made it back home buying a house in Schiller Park and I have worked all kinds of jobs. I upgraded to the big lake 'Lake Michigan '' and found where I wanted to be. Coming back to fishing is a great story. I traded a 1954 Chrysler hot-rod for a boat and it came with fishing gear. I never thought I would use the fishing gear, but I did and got addicted to the sport. From there I did many fishing tournaments. I did so well at this, that I then was convinced to get my captain's license and became a fishing captain. After many years learning the charter business I find myself now running my own boat as my full-time job. My hopes and dreams are now to just keep the charter business going. I enjoy meeting many kinds of personalities and keeping the lakefront fun.
