Charter Boat Royalty has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Chicago. Having logged many hours, your captain is prepared to put you on fish.
Species like Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Charter Boat Royalty are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a fun day. Remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 39' Pacemaker flybridge that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
We work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information available online, or available on the boat you can ask the captain. It's always wise to bring sunblock sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, please avoid glass bottles.

Epic Trip with Capt Tim!
6 Hour Sunrise Trolling Trip 5am on July 18, 2025 • 6 adults
Beautiful morning for a 6 hour fishing trip trolling on Lake Michigan! Capt Tim got us right on some massive lake trout (17-22 pounders), with a few salmon and a rainbow trout as well. Lots of space on this well equipped boat including a nice flybridge. Fishing was great, beautiful sunrise and great views of Chicago. But the highlight of the trip was Capt Tim and his first mate. They take care of everything while you reel in fish, and teach you along the way. They were great fishermen, but also great to talk with. Capt Tim is hilarious, kept us laughing the whole trip, and had great stories. We will certainly be booking with Capt Tim again!

Everyone in our party caught huge fish, each weighing over 12 pounds. The charismatic captains more than enhanced the experience with their vast knowledge, witty and sarcastic banter, and superior skill. They engaged everyone in our party (even our shy teenager) and had everyone laughing. Some heckling may even be involved. Highly entertaining and above and beyond what was expected, including a surprise visit by other lakeside creatures. Everything was taken care of for us. We just had to relax and enjoy the show and the fish. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding Fishing Trip

Tim the Captain and Jordan the 1st mate were terrific. First of all Tim, the Captain, sent us a note about the weather forecast. Storms in the afternoon were forecasted. He asked if we would be able to start our trip earlier hoping to avoid the storm. We moved the trip up and that decision was a savior for the trip. These two gentlemen did an excellent job helping to assure that the trip was a success. They will do an excellent job for you.

Great day with captain Tim and Crew! I invited my friends from childhood (I am 63). My Barber and bodybuilding friend and his girlfriend. We reached our limit of Lake Trout and lots of big ones. Muscle Man had trouble fighting that last one since it was huge. Thanks Capn Tim we will be back
