Charter Boat Royalty has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Chicago. Having logged many hours, your captain is prepared to put you on fish.
Species like Lake Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Charter Boat Royalty are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a fun day. Remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 39' Pacemaker flybridge that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided.
We work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information available online, or available on the boat you can ask the captain. It's always wise to bring sunblock sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, please avoid glass bottles.
Charter Boat Royalty will make it easy for you to go fishing in Chicago. So, how about booking that trip?

Early Season April/ May Fishing on April 5, 2025
I had a last minute urge to go on an early season fishing trip and Tim worked with me to get me on the water. We did a lot of trolling along the shore line, and caught out limit. The boat was very clean with lots of cabin room. The captain and first mate were top notch and professional the whole time. I would definitely book with them the next time I am in town. Hopefully I will be back when the big fish are biting ;)

We booked a last minute trip for early Sunday morning. Fish get tricky in September but Jim led us offshore and, apparently, knows exactly where they hide. We got to our spot as the sun was rising, caught our limit in some big lake trout and threw in a king salmon for good luck. The boat was clean and crew was conversational and professional. I couldn’t recommend them enough. We left with 30lbs of fresh fish filet!

Captain Tim and Mitch were both professional and kept it fun. Through a little tough weather many smiles and laughs we’re had! And we caught fish! Highly recommend and will be booking again

In the 80's as a kid, I used to watch my dad go fishing along the lakefront and take out boats with his friends. I sometimes got to come with along. As I grew into a teenager, fishing was the last thing on my mind. I became a complete gearhead obsessed with girls and anything with an engine. I worked during high school and had an assortment of jobs. This is where I think I got my bold outgoing personality. I Graduated from Wyoming Tech with an associate's degree in business management and a degree in building race cars and welding. I made it back home buying a house in Schiller Park and I have worked all kinds of jobs. I upgraded to the big lake "Lake Michigan '' and found where I wanted to be. Coming back to fishing is a great story. I traded a 1954 Chrysler hot-rod for a boat and it came with fishing gear. I never thought I would use the fishing gear, but I did and got addicted to the sport. From there I did many fishing tournaments. I did so well at this, that I then was convinced to get my captain's license and became a fishing captain. After many years learning the charter business I find myself now running my own boat as my full-time job. My hopes and dreams are now to just keep the charter business going. I enjoy meeting many kinds of personalities and keeping the lakefront fun.
