Ready to catch some fish on Sooner Lake? That’s what McBride Outside Guide Service is here for!
Species like Striped Bass, Walleye, White Bass, and more can be found in these waters if you come at the right time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your excursion begins aboard a 22’ Predator center console boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
