Spend the day with Salt Fever Guide Service and see what’s biting in Ocean Isle Beach! With one of the Salt Fever Captains at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Top targets include King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, Great Barracuda, Amberjack, Little Tunny, Vermilion Snapper, Cobia, Black Seabass, Mahi Mahi, Bluefish, and more with any luck. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. The crew can also help you try kite fishing.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll step aboard a 37’ Freeman catamaran that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Doesn’t get any better than this!
If you’re looking for a truly great experience on the water look no further. Everything about the charter was first class. We caught a huge variety of fish. The boat was not only fast allowing us to get to the fishing grounds quickly. It was also an incredibly smooth ride. The captain and crew were knowledgeable far beyond their years. From getting the bait first thing in the morning to putting us on fish immediately after this will be a trip that we will never forget. Thanks again, Captain.

Good Four Hour Trip
Had a great time with my 13 and 11 year old. Boat was ready upon our arrival and pulled out about 15 minutes early. Crew provided great guidance as to what to watch for when trolling and allowed my kids to do all the work once the fish were on. Equipment was top notch.

Captain Anthony and Jo-Jo had us on the fish right away and it never let up. Several times the line barely got wet before we had. Spanish or a Bonita! Both were patient with our kids and kept it fun!
