Salty River Guide Service is here to let you experience the Sportsman's Paradise of Venice, Louisiana. With Captain Triston at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced captain to put you on the fish.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Largemouth Bass, Black Drum, Cobia, Scamp Grouper, Pompano, Redfish, Sheepshead, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and plenty more. For these species, you're likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Kids are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll be welcome aboard a 2023 26' Blue Wave bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. 3 day charter pass licenses can be purchased online for $20 on the Louisiana Wildlife and fishery website. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
