The fish in these waters include Bluefish, Pompano, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Bull Shark, Spotted Seatrout, Whiting, and more with any luck. You can expect to do some spinning or something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! You’ll find rods, reels, bait, and tackle waiting for you. Spectators are always free! We don’t charge the cheering section! You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
YOU’LL BE FISHING FROM THE BEACH, so seasickness is not even an issue on this adventure. With a top-of-the-line beach cart, all of the tools of the trade are within arms reach, and in no time at all, it can all be packed up to switch spots if needed with minimal effort. What’s more, the beaches of Hilton Head Island are wheelchair accessible. There are even specialized beach wheelchairs available with proper notice.
A few items to bring include snacks, bottled water (we always bring a few extra for emergencies), sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses (polarized). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Incredibly fun morning on the beach
Buck is a prompt, lively, responsible, flexible, patient, and knowledgeable fisherman. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning on the beach with him. Four hours flew by. My 11 year old son caught lots of fish and we had great conversations about fishing strategies, marine life, oceans and tides, and more. Who needs a boat to have a great fishing trip?! Turns out it isn’t necessary at all. Can’t wait to enjoy our fish tacos for dinner. We’re already planning a return trip with Salty Leprechaun next summer.

BEST DAY EVER!!!
A must do! We are two 60+ women who booked a shore fishing excursion while our husbands golfed. It was the highlight of our trip. Buck was not only patient with us, but made it incredibly fun! We ended up catching a > 5 foot shark much to our surprise! We are absolute beginners!

Great Time
Took my son for his birthday. Buck was personable, professional, and knew his stuff. He taught us both a lot about surf fishing. We both had a great time catching fish. Would definitely recommend!
