YOU’LL BE FISHING FROM THE BEACH, so seasickness is not even an issue on this adventure. With a top-of-the-line beach cart, all of the tools of the trade are within arms reach, and in no time at all, it can all be packed up to switch spots if needed with minimal effort. What’s more, the beaches of Hilton Head Island are wheelchair accessible. There are even specialized beach wheelchairs available with proper notice.
A few items to bring include snacks, bottled water (we always bring a few extra for emergencies), sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses (polarized). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Incredibly fun morning on the beach

Buck is a prompt, lively, responsible, flexible, patient, and knowledgeable fisherman. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning on the beach with him. Four hours flew by. My 11 year old son caught lots of fish and we had great conversations about fishing strategies, marine life, oceans and tides, and more. Who needs a boat to have a great fishing trip?! Turns out it isn’t necessary at all. Can’t wait to enjoy our fish tacos for dinner. We’re already planning a return trip with Salty Leprechaun next summer.

A must do! We are two 60+ women who booked a shore fishing excursion while our husbands golfed. It was the highlight of our trip. Buck was not only patient with us, but made it incredibly fun! We ended up catching a > 5 foot shark much to our surprise! We are absolute beginners!

I grew up exploring ponds with my brother in Charlotte, NC. Fishing was always my passion, and I had a fishing pole in my hand from a young age. When I moved to The Lowcountry during high school, I discovered the thrill of saltwater fishing. My friends and I would fish before and after school, and my love for it grew. While living in Murrells Inlet, I worked as a mate on headboats. Soon after, I found myself on commercial boats, running weeklong trips. It wasn't until 2018 that I became genuinely obsessed with surf fishing. I dedicated most of my free time to learning everything I could about this sport. Now, I'm excited to share my knowledge with you along the beautiful Hilton Head coast. Let's create some incredible fishing memories together!
