Hoop Net Charters – 50' 

Spend the evening with Hoop Net Charters and hopefully pull up some good-sized bugs in the Long Beach/San Pedro area.

Lobster, Calico Bass, Crab, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you’re likely to use hoop nets and fishing gear. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing at an additional cost.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask before the trip to accommodate you. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Your USCG Licensed Captain will bring you aboard a 50’ Sport fisher that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. The boat is equipped with safety gear, fire extinguishers, life jackets, a first aid kit, throw rings, and all the necessary communication equipment. Hoop nets, rods, reels, and tackle are provided.

Keep in mind that you must get your own fishing license along with a Spiney Lobster card, as the charter operator does not sell fishing licenses. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.

Don’t leave home without bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
