Rod Bending Charters offers an exciting range of fishing charters along the waters of Galveston Bay! Captain Jason Woods has been fishing the Gulf since he was a child and has turned his hobby into a trade on the very same waters. He's passionate about helping first-time anglers and children make their first catch.
Head out on a 24' Dusky center console boat, powered by a 250 HP Evinrude engine. Propelling you to speeds of 40 knots, you'll reach the hottest fishing spots in no time. The boat has a GPS, fishfinder, VHF, sonar, and includes a live bait tank to get the most out of each fishing trip. There is a porta potty in the center console. Sun junkies can use most areas of the boat, catching the rays while casting, while the T-top protecting the center console ensures that you have room to cool off.
You'll be provided with high-quality rods and reels. To make your catch, you'll try out a range of fishing techniques, such as jigging, popping, and bottom fishing, and Capt. Jason and his crew will be more than happy to lend a helping hand.
Half and full day trips will have you targeting big Red Fish, Trout, black drum, flounder, Jack Crevalle, and Sharks, amongst others, but you can also target Sharks on more specialized trips.
Rod Bending Charters love to have families on their trips, so bring the kids for a fun day on the water. They do their best to put you on the fish, and ensure you have a great time out on the water. All you need to bring is your snacks, drinks & fishing license. If you are successful, you'll even be able to take your catch home with you, cleaned and prepared for you to warm up.

We had the BEST time fishing with Rod Bending Charters in Galveston! Adam & Drestin were experts from start to finish: communicating before the trip, getting us safely and swiftly to find the fish, setting everything up while we relaxed, coaching us as we reeled in the fish, helping us document our great time with family photos, and cleaning and packing up our haul! They even gave great suggestions about how to cook our catch! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day SO fun! we all agreed it was our favorite outing while we were in Galveston, and one of our top favorite activities ever as a family! definitely go fishing with Rod bending charters. You will be so glad you did!
Captain Connor made this trip for us. He was very knowledgeable and helped us get some great catches! We were able to check out several locations and we appreciated his down to earth, easy to talk to attitude. We had a great time with him! Never been fishing like this before and will say we will be back! We didn’t want to leave after our four hours! Also, they no longer had the boat we booked, so they upgraded us at no cost. Our experience went above and w our expectations!
our captain was very friendly. the current was bad but he did everything he could to make sure we caught something. we will use him again.

Our fishing trip was a great experience! We were excited that we caught 6 catfish. Captain made it a great experience for my husband, daughter, and I. Even tho we got rained out we still enjoyed it and say we got the full on experience!
