The Fish Fly Charters takes you Walleye fishing on Saginaw Bay and River from November through March. Weather permitting you could fish all winter!
As the water cools in the Bay the Walleye migrate into the Saginaw River to follow the shad. Go fishing the open water on Saginaw Bay or jigging on the Saginaw River. The late fall is the best time to catch large Walleye up to 12 lb.
Your day begins aboard an 18’ Aluminum fishing that can carry up to 3 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Kids are welcome.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Bring snacks, drinks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with The Fish Fly Charters!
