You can expect to target Blue Catfish and Flathead Catfish, some of which can be near 50 lbs. or more. There are special excursions also available to catch/keep Skipjack Herring and White Bass depending on the time of year. See available trips to learn about these very special excursions.
You can expect fishing with heavy tackle using various Tennessee River tactics (Dragging/Planer Board, Drifting, Suspending, Bumping, Float Rigging, and Bottom Rigging).
Get the whole family outdoors! Kids are absolutely welcome! Child-sized life vests are available, but you can bring your own.
You’ll be fishing from a large, comfortable 24’ Lowe Pontoon modified for Catfishing, Modern Electronics, GPS Trolling Motor, and a comfortable capacity for 5 passengers (5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children). Can take more but the boat tends to get crowded with more than 5. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. This vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Mark has rods and reels for you, along with all of the necessary tackle.
You must purchase & possess a valid Tennessee license before the trip. This information is available online at GoTennesseeOutdoors or ask for assistance. Please possess a license in advance of the trip. A few items to bring: sunglasses, sunblock, drinks and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Sorry, Capt. Mark does not clean fish, but you can keep fish that are under 15lbs. Larger fish are catch and release only for conservation purposes.

We had an amazing time catfishing in Tennessee! The captain was not only punctual and professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the fish. He was very talkative and friendly, sharing all kinds of tips and stories that made the trip both fun and educational. You can tell he really takes pride in what he does and wants everyone to have a great experience. I highly recommend this charter!

Even before the trip started I knew it would be successful. Great communication the entire time since I booked right up till the morning we fished, then the trip was phenomenal, he is super knowledgeable and loves to share that knowledge. What great with the kids and just an all around great person. Caught great fish even though it's a tough time of year to catch them. Our family visits Tennessee about once a year and we will be reaching out again to book another trip. A+ review

Had a lovely day with my kids and elderly father. He has trouble getting around and uses a walker, captain helped him on the boat, large steady boat and comfy seat for him to fish from. Caught lots of fish. 6 stars if I could, thanks for the family memories captain!

Had a really good day caught an 15 pound catfish my personal PB so far and we're going back in July to break that PB this trip was good for 2 people maybe even 3 but I think anything over. That would be crowded

I am a US Navy combat Veteran and recently retired automotive engineer. I have been Catfishing for nearly 30 years, winning all 3 catfish tournaments I have entered. Over the past 10 years, I have taken numerous people, mostly friends, family, and neighborhood kids on guided Catfishing excursions, with many a smile and pictures taken with our local River Monsters.
