Spend the day with Rock Steady Charters, the 2023 Manhattan Cup Champions! Find out what the fishing in New York City is all about! With Captain Chris at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands. Chris is also a weekly video reporter for the Fisherman Magazine so he is super dialed in.

Depending on the season, you might hook into Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Albacore Tuna, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Bonito, Mahi Mahi, and who knows what else! You can expect to do some spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Your day begins aboard a 30’ Solace center console with space for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. Capt. Chris will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
