Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ Defiance cuddy cabin with space for 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Alaska tides to Timbers.
