If you’re going to cast a line in Pass Christian look no further than Sawdust and Fishguts. With Captain Will Gavin at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide. He grew up in North Mississippi hunting and fishing and moved to Bay St Louis over 9 years ago to follow his dream of living on the coastal waters of Mississippi with his family and running a charter company.

These waters are known for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Whiting, Jack Crevalle, Tripletail, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, you will use light tackle.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own.

You’ll step aboard a 2021 22’ Tidewater with room for up to 3 adult passengers. It comes with all the essentials you will need for a comfortable ride and a great day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels and all tackle and live bait needs for a successful trip on the water. Fish cleaning and bagging are included with the charter fee.

Your Mississippi fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. And you will need to purchase a Louisiana license to fish the Louisiana marsh. Ask Captain for details. If you don’t know what to expect, just ask the captain anything you are unsure of the day before your charter and we will

try to accommodate any special requests to make the most memorable experience of Mississippi and southwestern Louisiana you could imagine.

It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. Drinks(non-alcohol) are included, free of charge. Water, gatorade and light snacks such as granola bars and snack crackers.

Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Captain Will and Sawdust and Fishguts.

First Gulf Fishing Trip
Half Day Trip – Nearshore (AM) on August 7, 20262 adults

My daughter and I had a great experience. Watching the sunrise from a boat while traveling out to Cat Island was so surreal. Will was very helpful and patient. We caught trout and redfish. He gave us recommendations about how to cook the fish that we brought home. It rained in the distance and a complete rainbow lit up the horizon for the ride home. great trip!

When I wasn't driving nails growing up in north Mississippi I was spending time in on the gulf coast fishing and eating local seafood. I finally drove enough nails to move down 7 years ago to make charter fishing a reality
