Species like Barracuda, Cobia, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Permit, Redfish, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to fish live baits and Artificial lures using light or heavy tackle.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own.

Your trip begins aboard a 21’ Key West bay boat with space for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and preferably non slip shoes. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

Half Day Trip (AM) on October 25, 2025 • 1 adult

Had an absolutely fantastic day with Captain Leonard. Pick up location was easy to find and we were in the fish within 30 minutes. First part of the trip was in shore and caught Snook, Jack, a flounder and Pinfish which we used later. After the in shore fishing we headed just off the beach and got into a great school of Spanish Mackerel and Kings. Landed more than 10 Mackerel and 3 Kings. had a large King (on the Pinfish) that ran out a ton of line but broke off. captain Leonard was attentive, a great conversationalist and knew his waters. will join him again next time we are down.

Fun day of Fishing

Half Day Trip (AM) on September 2, 2025 • 3 adults

We booked our half day fishing trip a week before our trip, We received text and email communications up to the scheduled date. Our Captain was Jeff and he was great! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips and recommendations to improve our stay while visiting the area. He was very attentive, always making sure we had bait and giving us tips throughout the trip. When we arrived at the boat ramp he was already there ready for us to “go fishing”. We were a party of 3 and probably caught 50-60 fish. Jeff also had a great playlist of music for us to listen to on our excursion. Had a blast and would recommend Ratha be Fishin.

Fun trip with our grandsons!

I would definitely recommend Ratha B Fishin charter. We planned a trip to Florida with our 3 grandsons and going fishing was on their list of must do. Captain Jeffery was quick to respond to any questions we had when we booked. He picked us up and dropped us off so we didn’t have to worry about where to meet him. First thing that impressed me was how clean and uncluttered his boat was. The day turned out great! The boys caught Grouper, Trout, Redfish, Catfish as well as had a ton of bites and even some crazy action by something that grabbed the bait and took off like its tail fins were on fire! To end the day we tried for a Tarpon. Got lucky and hooked one fairly quickly and got it almost to the boat before it flipped off the line. Very fun to experience. Enjoyed Captain Jeffery’s professional but fun personality. He was very attentive and made sure everyone had bait on at all times and gave us pointers on what to do. Definitely would recommend.

Top-notch Family Fishing Charter

We had an amazing day on Jeffrey’s fishing charter! From the start, he made sure to ask for our wish list and went above and beyond to make it all happen for our family of five. We had a great day catching a variety of fish, and Jeffrey’s expertise and patience made all the difference. Not only did we fish, but we also got to see dolphins, swim at Beer Can Island, and even had the thrilling experience of spotting a hammerhead shark and trying to catch it! Jeffrey was incredibly knowledgeable, especially patient with the kids, and made sure everyone was involved and having fun. If you're looking for a top-notch fishing experience, this 4-hour charter is a must! We will be back when we return to Florida!
