If you’re in the market for a professional, guided experience by two licensed fishing guides on Lake George with 40 + years of experience, look no further than Austin Outfitters.
You won’t have to travel far to fish these remote lake waters, including some honey holes that only a local guide can show you. Your guide Rick will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait along with ATV transportation and heated shelter.
Captain Rick specializes in Lake Trout, Salmon, and Yellow Perch. Any legal fish caught during the trip are yours to take with you. That’s dinner right there! You’re welcome to bring a group as large as 4 on this guided experience.
Expect to get in touch with Rick before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group who is 16 and over ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Plan to dress in layers and appropriate footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks and drinks.

Had a great day on the ice with Captain Rick! Rick and his son took us on ATVs across the ice, setup all the equipment, and got us on fish! What more could you ask for, especially for our first time out ice fishing. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a great day on the ice!
