Hoping to cast a line in Boynton Beach? Reel Time Fishing Charters & Boat Rentals is your ticket!
The fish in these waters include Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Cobia, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Swordfish, Amberjack, and more, depending on the season. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s bowfishing.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Your excursion begins aboard a 29’ SeaVee center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. Don’t leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.
