Fishing with Uli
There's a fish with your name on it in Zihuatanejo and Fishing with Uli will help you catch it! Captain Ulises will be your guide, which means you'll tap into years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Barracuda, Bonito, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, African Pompano Jack, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Needlefish, Pompano, Roosterfish, Sailfish, and whatever else is biting. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be welcome aboard a 25' sportfishing vessel with room for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Fishing with Uli.

So many people that reach out to me when I was looking for a captain that can assist my husband and son who were interested in fishing in Zihuatanejo. I just googled for the best fishing company that can assist my husband and son. So Captain Ully came up as ver much recommended so I booked him directly from fishingbooker. In total they caught 10 fish. They were aiming for small game. I appreciate his honesty to ask us first whether if we want to do small game or big game. We are happy with small game. We caught bonito and we ate them all at nearby restaurant that can cook for us. It was a great day.
We fished two days with Eduardo on the "No Problema" super panga. First day and was deep sea, and we got into yellow fin tuna right away and could've loaded the boat. We kept a few but then went for Sailfish. Blanked on those but none of the other boats had a good day either, that's fishing (Eso es pesca). The second day we went small game; trolled for Bonita and after getting enough for lunch and dinner we switched to live bait for rooster and jack crevelle and got into both. Some nice sized fish too. Eduardo was awesome; worked really hard for us and also pointed out sea turtles, dolphins, and whales. His english is almost as bad as our spanish but it didn't keep us from communicating the important parts and having some great laughs. The boat was very comfortable for a panga and gear was in great shape. highly recommend this trip. I would suggest paying for the trip in pesos, there was some confusion with the exchange rate and Uli charged us a little more than expected both days, but it wasn't much. Great time.

Just to make things clear, I didn't charge you more than what you supposed to pay, right now the exchange rate usd it's very low, so I have to use my bank exchange rate. Thanks for a great comment .
Was really excited to get out on the ocean with hopes of catching a sailfish/ mahi mah. Although we were unsuccessful in those attempts, Uli and Eduardo tried everything to make it happen. Despite not getting the fish we set out for, our trip still blew our expectations out of the water! Uli and Eduardo were able to take us a bit closer in to shore and we hooked into 4 Bonitas that they filleted for us after the trip. Some other highlights were seeing the dolphins swim up close to the boat as well as seeing some sea turtles! Uli was a very down to earth captain who made our experience all the better. I don't think there is a harder working First hand than Eduardo. Would book again in a heartbeat if we had another day in Zihua.
My wife and I went out with Capt. Uli and Eduardo. We met at 6:30 and headed out to fish. Capt. Uli and Eduardo are excellent guides, we were on fish in a hurry. We caight a Mahi-Mahi, my first and a bunch of bonito. we kept troññing and headed to a quiet lagoon with a reef to snorkel. When we got out of the water Eduardo had made bonito cerviche for our lunch. Delicious! We enjoyed spending time with Uli and Eduardo. Uli is fluent in English and Spanish. Ediardo filleted our fish and we took it to our hotel for them to cook for us. Great time, will do it again. Highly recommend them.

Uli is the man and will make sure you have a great time. Whether it's Eduardo or his dad (Seciro?), they know what they're doing and will do everything they can to put you in the action. I had a blast catching 3 sailfish in under 3 hours including a very uncommon double hookup. If you want, you can also do an inshore trip and he'll take you snorkeling to an absolutely beautiful spot with an abundance of fish; it's like being in an aquarium. I'm already trying to figure out my next trip to Ixtapa/Zihua so I can get out on the water with Uli and crew.
The first time I reeled a big Sailfish I knew it was what I wanted to be doing all the time, and since that day I'm still doing it.
