Fort Lauderdale has a fish with your name on it, g
U n so let Last Minute Charter help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Nick is prepared to put you on fish.
Species like Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Peacock Bass, Flounder, Black Grouper, Black Drum, Sailfish, Cero Mackerel, Hogfish, Almaco Jack, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. During the trip, you might be light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 23’ Panga with room for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is not allowed.
