If you plan on fishing in Bonita Springs, look no further than Black Irish Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Jemel, who is a former United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran. He will give you access to years of knowledge and experience.

These waters are known for Snook, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!" On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll using light tackle. Capt. Jemel also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

You'll be casting lines from a 20' Action Craft center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Black Irish Charters.

Great day on the water
Half Day Trip (AM) on December 28, 20252 adults

Very experienced guide knowing where to go to best land fish depending on the water and tide conditions. Landed snook and snapper for a fun day on the water. Would definitely charter with Jemel again.

Half Day with Black Irish Charters
Half Day Trip (AM) on April 28, 2024

Black Irish Charters was amazing! Captain Maloney was so attentive to all of our needs and was very knowledgeable of the fishing locations and techniques. We were catching fish on almost every cast! It was fun and entertaining. The boat was accommodating for 5 grown adults and we didn’t need to bring anything! All fishing gear, bait, etc was all available through the charter. Captain Maloney was kind and all around a great guy! I would recommend this charter to anyone. 5 stars *****

Half day morning with Captain Jemel
Half Day Trip (AM) on March 16, 2024

Outstanding trip! It was me and my 16 year old son and 14 year old daughter. Captain Jamel was amazing - calm, friendly, super knowledgeable and worked hard to make our trip a great one! We had a ton of fun (on the water, catching fish, and seeing several dolphins) - was so great! So thankful we did this trip and can’t wait to fish with Black Irish Charters again. If you are looking for a guide/charter when in Florida - don’t look any further, go with Captain Jamel.

Charter with Captain Jemel
Half Day Trip (AM) on May 20, 2023

We were visiting Bonita Springs and my brother was dead set on going on a fishing charter. While I originally objected because I’m uneasy on boats, I decided to go - and I had the best time! Captain Jemel drove the boat so smoothly and avoided any big waves. He was so knowledgeable about the fish we could catch and the area in general. I caught a sea trout and my brother caught red drum and snook! I never knew there were so many different kinds of fish. He even filleted the fish we were taking home so we didn’t have to deal with the mess of it all! He kept reassuring me that I’d be safe with him behind the wheel and would enjoy myself - and he delivered just that! I highly recommend Black Irish Charters and would get on a boat with him again anytime!

Before we stepped off to go fishing Jemel gave us a rundown of where all the equipment was on his boat and what to expect. He is very knowledgeable and helpful! We didn’t bring any rods or bait, but Jemel had it all! He even gave us a class on how to properly put the bait on the hook. Jemel took us to an awesome spot that even had dolphins! We were fishing for roughly 4 hours.
