The Red Tide is a 42' Rodman flybridge built in 2005. It is powered by twin 440 HP engines, developing some serious speed, so it will take you to the best fishing spots in no time. On board you'll find everything you'll need for the perfect fishing trip. Outriggers, a fighting chair, a livewell, GPS, fishfinder – you name it, they have it!

You'll be using high-quality equipment for a variety of fishing techniques including trolling, popping, jigging, fly fishing, and bottom fishing. You can use different techniques depending on the trip, and on the longer trips, you'll get a delicious lunch free of charge. Target species include Bonito, Dentex, Mahi Mahi, and Tuna.

We had a lovely outing as a family of four with two small children. They were each able to catch their first fish, and lots of them! We saw scores of dolphins too! Captain Samuel was so helpful and found lots of great spots to drop the lines. Highly recommend for families!

    We had a great afternoon fishing with Red Tide Charters....we went trolling and caught 3 fair sized fish called Little Tunnys that put up a good fight and also did a little bottom fishing and caught some smaller fish aswell. Our captain was super positive, very helpful and knowledgeable, which made the trip even better, we had a great trip, thanks to Red Tide Charters

    We had a wonderful 4 hour charter. We caught a bunch of Black Bream, two White Bream, and one gorgeous red snapper. The captain was fantastic. Our biggest regret is that we didn’t have any options to eat our fish after the trip. The only other time we did a fishing charter, the crew was able to refer us to a restaurant or grill that would cook up our catch for a fee. When we asked here, they said there’s nowhere that’ll do this service during the high season (summer). So at the end of our tour, we had a bunch of fish (which were not scaled or cleaned), that we had to either release or take home and deal with ourselves. We ended up letting them all go, except for 2, which we took back to our AirB&B and attempted to clean and cook in our tiny kitchenette. (Imagine the scales flying everywhere as inexperienced novices try to use a butterknife to scale their fish…). If you don’t want to be trying to fry your fish on a tiny hot plate, I recommend you think ahead about your plans for the fish you catch - if you can’t scale, clean, and cook them yourselves, be prepared to let them go. My other recommendation is to keep an eye on time to make sure you fit in everything you want to do. We had indicated at the start we halted to both fish and swim in the ocean. But we didn’t watch the clock and when we were ready to swim, it turned out that it was already time to return to shore, so we didn’t get to swim. Overall, I’d definitely do this charter again, especially now that I’m more informed about what to expect.

    A very well kept boat, well organised owner and a great captain. Nothing was to much trouble, plenty of drinks. Went out to the fishing area which took 30min, plenty of fish to be caught, then a swim. Would certainly recommend this boat for a trip.

    Great trip! We'd have liked having both a skipper and a deckhand, so that while 1 cleaned the tuna, the other could have brought us to a couple more spots for bottom fishing, since we weren't getting any good bites. And the left handed spinning reeels were awkward. But we LOVED getting a big tuna trolling on the way out! Thanks Luis!
