Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, Redfish, Sheepshead, along with a few other surprise catches. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to drift and fish with popping corks and light tackle spinning setups. 

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

You will need to buy a Louisiana Saltwater Charter license. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.

Don’t forget to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
