Spend the day with Hot Tuna Sportfishing and let them show you what makes the fishing in St. Pete Beach so memorable! With Captain Joe at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
These waters are home to Goliath Grouper, Hogfish, Amberjack, Hammerhead Shark, Bull Shark, Scamp Grouper, Little Tunny (False Albacore), Red Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Great Barracuda, Gag Grouper, Scup (Porgy), and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll be fishing aboard a 35' Bertram sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Hot Tuna Sportfishing!
