I had an amazing trip with Captain Frank in Puerto Rico. From the moment we got on the water, it was obvious that he really knows his stuff when it comes to targeting blue marlin. His knowledge, experience, and ability to put us on fish made for an unforgettable day. The highlight of the trip was hooking into an absolute monster blue marlin. We battled that fish for nearly two hours, and Captain Frank coached me through the entire fight. Unfortunately, the marlin shook the hook right at the end, but the experience of fighting such a powerful fish was incredible and something I'll never forget. After that long battle, I was completely exhausted, and with the wind coming in, Captain Frank switched gears and took me after some king mackerel. We had success there as well, and to top it off, he filleted the fish for me so I had fresh fish to bring home and enjoy. Overall, it was a fantastic fishing trip with a very knowledgeable captain, great action on the water, and some absolutely awesome views. I highly recommend Captain Frank and the Blue Marlin trip to anyone looking for a memorable fishing experience in Puerto Rico! 🤙

Capt. Frank has been fishing professionally for 30 years. Frank started out as a mate on 6 pack boats in 1994 in the Outer Banks of NC at the age of 14. From there he worked on numerous boats in the area in which we ran charters, fished tournaments, and commercial fished. In 2008 he formed Up-Close Outfitters and ran fishing charters and commercial fished. In 2017 he sold Up-Close and formed Simply Caught Seafood and Charters still in NC. He grew this business to a well oiled machine serving over 50 restaurants while catching his own seafood and taking hundreds of clients fishing every year. In 2022 Frank moved his family to Puerto Rico. He has reopened Simply Caught in PR and is continuing fishing everyday with charters or seafood oriented. 'The alure of the ocean and fishing is what motivates me to get up early every morning, even though I'm not a morning person. Attention to detail in Marlin, Sword, and Giant Tuna fishing is the key to success ! ' Frank
