Hoping to go fishing in Clearlake? That’s what Steve Perkins Fishing is here for!
Depending on the season, you might hook into Largemouth Bass and anything else that bites. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Any fish caught on these trips will be released.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 21’ Ranger 521 bass boat with a Mercury 250 Pro XS . Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, you will need to a CAfishing license for everyone in your group over 16. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is not allowed.

FABULOUS Fishing Trip!!!
5 Hour Trip – Bass Fishing on June 15, 2024
Talk about an awesome fishing experience!! Steve an expert at fishing and it shows. From the time we met him, got on the boat, we knew we were going to have a good time. Steve is exceptionally patient and an excellent instructor on how to use the type of fishing rod each of us was using. We ended up catching a few Bass and Steve wrangled a cat fish for us. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, kind, fun, incredibly patient and safe. We are definitely looking forward to our next fishing trip.

First Time at Clear Lake

I’ve been a bass fisherman my whole life and was with my girlfriend who had never fished before, both of us were able to consistently catch fish and get a few big ones along the way. Steve was an engaging guide and had tons of good information we could probe him for. Would definitely choose him again if we ever come back!

Steve put me on fish from the start and we continued to catch them all day. We had several over five pounds with most in 2 1/2 to 4 pounds range. He showed me techniques that I could use on my own to improve the number of fish I caught and the size.
