All 3 of the people in our party caught their personal-best bass on our trip with Captain Mike. He was very knowledgeable of Headwaters lake, his gear and boat were excellent, and he put us on tons of fish both days we were with him. He was very helpful and patient with my 10 year old son as well. I would definitely recommend Captain Mike.
We had a great experience at Headwaters with Captain Mike. My son caught his PB bass and Mike spent much of the morning explaining techniques and strategy with my son. We had an awesome trip and would highly recommend Captain Mike. He exceeded our expectations. We hauled in a dozen fish on the morning charter.
Capt. Mike is an extremely gracious and knowledgeable fishermen in this area. He put me on big bass right away, and several more as the day progressed. I would give highest recommendations for anyone looking to fish largemouth in the Headwaters/ Stick Marsh area.
Booked a 6hr charter with Mike for my buddy and I! It was a blast. He took us to great spots and we learned a lot from him. Not only was it my first charter but got myself a 9lb bass!! Would recommend Mike 10/10 as it was a great time on the lake!

For around 40 years, I have been in the fishing industry. I was a successful tournament Bass angler regionally in the Midwest and then moved to fish the national FLW Tour in 2015-16 with a major fishing sponsorship. Other than being a fishing guide and tournament Bass fisherman, I have taught fishing courses on the non-credit level at community colleges and represented over a dozen companies promoting their products through my fishing experiences. I fished from Montana to New York to Florida and Texas and even Mexico and the Dominican Republic and Brazil now under my belt!!! My permanent residence is overlooking the shores of Table Rock Lake near Branson Missouri and I love that area of the country but when it gets too cold, the bass fish I head south where I am a Fishing Guide in central Florida concentrating on Headwaters lake near Fellsmere Florida!!! With my travels and experiences around the country, I have a pretty good time being a fishing guide and relate well to both young and old with the stories of my travels and fishing endeavors!!!
