Ready to catch some fish in Puerto Vallarta? Then Sol Y Mar has a trip with your name on it!
These waters are known for Bonito, Jack Crevalle, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, White Marlin, Roosterfish, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. Capt. Alejandro also offers kite fishing.
You’ll be welcome aboard a 27’ Hatteras Panga that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are supplied for you. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Alejandro and his dad Nacho were nothing but amazing!
Alejandro and Nacho gave us the best fishing experience you could ask for. Even before the trip. He responded to all of our text and questions very quickly! The most fun and easiest fishing trip I have ever been on. We all caught some nice fish and since we didn’t want to keep them, Alejandro made the best ceviche for us on the boat for the ride back home. I couldn’t have asked for a better fishing charter. We all look for to coming back and doing it all again!

4 Hour Trip
Perfect day!
Our trip was amazing! We caught 3 huge Jacks and a Triple tail. The Captain Alejandro and first mate Jesus were incredibly helpful and patient. They were an efficient team, well-organized and skilled at catching fish as well as teaching us proper technique. They had drinks and ice on the boat for us. Captain Alejandro cleaned the triple tail for us and we got to take some filets to a local restaurant to eat. So good! I highly recommend this crew and boat.

Great Fishing Experience
Captain and crew were very helpful. We got straight on the boat and away we went. We caught some Jack right off the bat and they made ceviche with the first fish. It was very delicious and as fresh as fresh could be. We went a bit deeper out and caught a Rooster fish that was very cool. All in all, a great trip, very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Amazing Fishing Trip!
Today was a pleasure! We had a fishing excursion with Captain Alex and Sol Y Mar and caught the a 40 pound Grouper. We also caught several other fish. The boat was in great shape and the Captain was very helpful, and knowledgeable on where to find the fish! Him and his first mate Jesus were friendly and made us feel completely welcome on their vessel. Thanks Sol Y Mar! Amazing trip.

Great Family Memories
Alejandro and his father took me, my 12 year old and my 6 year old sons into the bay for a 4hr trip. They did a great job at making sure the kiddos caught fish and we're able to take pictures with every fish they caught. They are very knowledgeable about the waters they fish, and helped to make it a great experience for all of us. We would recommend this trip to families with children of all ages. They even dropped us off at a marina closer to our resort to help keep the cab fees down. We will be back, and we will book again.
