Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Catfish, Redfish, and whatever else takes the bait. On these trips, it’s common to drift and bottom fish using light tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your day begins aboard a 22’ Carolina Skiff with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Had an awesome fishing trip. We found the fish early and were able to land some big reds! Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for a good time fishing.

Fun time at the lake

My son and I had a lot of fun fishing at the lake with Capt. Jesse. We caught our maximum amount each before 10:00 am. And still had time to do some catfishing. Even though we didn't catch any catfish this time, it was an awesome day, we even got back an hour early. I would highly recommend Capt. Jesse, he's very knowledgeable about what needs to be done on these fishing trips

Relaxing day at the lake 😎

It was a relaxing day, with no fault of Captain Jesse, since he did try to get to some catfish schools, but unfortunately they weren't biting. Towards the end he did switch it up to reds, but we were only mostly catching small ones for the exception of my nephew who caught a 29" red. I think next time we'll try catching reds first, then switch to cats. We'll go back with Captain Jesse, as he tried to get us to the good fishing spots.
