Pacific Wild Adventures offers exciting sport fishing off the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Their fishing trips will access the areas in and around the Barkley Sound and the coastal waters of Ucluelet, B.C. Targeting mainly Salmon, there will also be days you can go after Halibut. Lingcod fishing can be good as well.

Pacific Wild Adventures, formally known as Pacific Wild Charters, has been operating charters out of Nootka Island on Vancouver Island since 2011.  Dennis Kaechele has shifted his charter operation and is now based out of Ucluelet B.C. Dane Kaechele, who lives in Ucluelet, has partnered with Dennis to operate charters.  Dane and Dennis understand that safety is important to having a fun and relaxing day on the water. They both carry their SVOP (Small Vessel Operators Proficiency), MEDA3/SDV-BS (Marine Emergency Duties A3/ Small Domestic Vessel Basic Safety), ROC-M (Marine VHF Radio Operators), and Marine Basic First Aid certifications.  Dennis is also a CTAG(Certified Tidal Angling Guide).

The Transport Canada Certified vessel is a 2009 Boulton Seamaster 22’ boat. With its welded aluminum deep V hull, 200hp Yamaha outboard and a brand new 15hp Mercury kicker will get us to our destination safely and efficiently.  The boat is equipped with Lowrance radar, chartplotter, VHF radio and has a fully enclosed cabin that can seat 4 people plus the captain.

It can be quite chilly while out on the ocean. Make sure to dress warm and bring a jacket. A few other items to remember on the boat would be sunglasses, sunscreen, water, drinks, food, snacks, and a camera.

BC Tidal Water Fishing Licenses with a salmon stamp are required for each person fishing. You need to have a printed-out copy of the license while on the boat.

These fishing trips are family-friendly, and kids are welcome.  It’s recommended that you bring your own child’s life jacket as sizes are specific.

Let us take you out fishing and experience the West Coast of B.C. from the water.
