During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Your fishing machine for the day is a 31’ Yellowfin center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers and all the essentials. Capt. Al will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

At times there will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
