Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, Flounder, Redfish, and anything else that bites. You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Joshua also offers Flounder gigging.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Capt. Joshua welcomes you aboard a 24’ center console with room for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Garrett was a great guide

Book this trip and you won’t regret it! Garrett was a great guide who worked really hard and was fine company to hang out with. He was really knowledgeable and did a great job describing and teaching me everything he was doing, which really enhanced the trip. The bite was not really on, but there’s nothing you can really do about that. Caught three keeper Spanish mackerel in 2 hrs as well as a couple other non keepers. Overall a great trip, will book again and recommend you too!

4 Hour Trip (PM) on July 10, 2025
We booked for 4 hours and there was 6 of us and he was expecting 4 people so there was some times when he couldn't keep up with everyone. But we had some sharks cutting our line so it's not his fault. We had a 7 year old that did not enjoy the fishing at all. He is just a little to small for the rod and reels and especially the size of the fish. But overall the big kids loved it and I would recommend it. Captain Garrett took good care of us and put us on fish.

Our Captain was amazing and we caught a lot of fish when we went out. He took care of the kids and made sure they reeled in their catches. We had a bountiful day. The captain also filleted our fish so we could take it home. We’d never fished in salt water or did trolling but it was great!

2 hour kids trip on June 3, 2025
Josh and Gerrett were more than what we expected. Nice clean boat and very hospitable! Garrett is very knowledgeable about the waterways and the catch. We caught several different species of fish and even seen a dolphin on our way back to the dock! Heading to the fishery now to pick up our catch that Gerrett cleaned for us. Would recommend this charter and will definitely return in the future! Thanks again Josh and Gerrett
