Species like Cobia, Striped Bass, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Bluefish, and more are in the cards, depending on when you go. On these trips, you can expect to troll, cast, and bottom fish.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Child-sized life vests are available, but you are welcome to bring your own.
The fishing machine is a 25' Parker Sport Cabin pilothouse with a capacity for 4 anglers equipped for Cobia, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, redfish, (puppy drum) speckled trout, and rockfish in the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures and live bait.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Don't leave home without sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

I wanted a different species initially and he was honest that they were no longer actively biting. He switched between methods, gear and location which treated us to an outstanding experience. My advice, lean into his knowledge unless you are willing to come up empty handed. He was great about how things worked and without a first mate handled all the baiting and bringing fish on board. Busy guy made it look easy! Thanks Capt Dan. Can't wait to go again. Also loved having the whole boat just to our group, no strangers or shenanigans.

Captain Dan and Charlie, were kind, funny, focused, helpful, knowledgeable, and all around wonderful. We had perfect weather, a quick swim in the ocean, and a lot of fish to take home (that was quickly and masterfully fileted by Charlie on the way back in). Boat was clean and comfortable. This is the 2nd time my son has had a successful fishing trip on lil Tip Sea and We will definitely rebook again with Captain Bull Dan.

The first part of our trip they put us on a few cobia, but as the fish gods would have it none stayed buttoned up. After that we quickly transitioned to trolling for mackerel and bluefish. We caught a bunch of fish for the table and Charlie sent us home with some very clean filets. Highly recommend for anyone looking for fish catching and entertainment on the water.

Captain Bull and Charlie were awesome. Actually took the time to teach the boys some fishing techniques and gave them tips. Was the ideal charter experience. Canāt wait to have them take us out fishing next year when we are here again on vacation. Highly recommend Tip-Sea. Would give them 6 stars if I could!

Bull and crew went the extra mile and worked hard on an 8 hour tournament trip to bring home 4th place out of 60+ boats. Lots of Spanish Mackerel & Blues. Great time, highly recommended to anyone looking to charter in the Northern Neck/Middlesex area. Tell him Jake The Mate sent you!

Captain Bull is so enthusiastic and friendly. And so skilled! We had our five year old who got blue fish and spanish Mackerel. 10 total in a little over 2 hours. It was his very first fishing experience and he did not realize the help he got. Incidentally the trip was supposed to be for 2 hours, but we noticed afterwards that Captain Bull kept us longer in his desire to make everyone happy and please the kids. We did catch and release. It was also most interesting to learn about the Bay and know where we were. We can't wait to do it again. Definitely the highlight of everyone's trip to the Northern Neck!

My husband, mother in law, and 8 year old daughter went out with Captain Bull and his first mate Charlie. Some of my party was concerned about being sea sick and Captain Bull reassured us heād keep us in calm waters-no one was sea sick! We had a wonderful time! Captain Bull tells great stories and super kind to my daughter, helping her to catch LOTS of fish! First mate Charlie was amazingly helpful getting fish off and making sure we always had bait on our hooks. He also cleaned all 38 of our fish for us even though it was brutally hot. I would 10/10 recommend Tip Sea to anyone looking for a great fishing or historical boat tour!
