Homestead has a fish with your name on it, so let Off-Ice Charters help you catch it! With Captain Austin at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Redfish, Permit, Tarpon, Black Drum, Great Barracuda, Bonefish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, and whatever else is biting. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Austin also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Kids are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Capt. Austin welcomes you aboard a 19’ East Cape flats boat with space for 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. Austin has rods and reels for you.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Great day out fishing the Everglades.
Austin was a great Captain, the boat and equipment were clean and well functioning. Austin also was very attentive to helping my 2 sons as they were fairly new to fishing (now they want to go again). For example Austin had a spare rod so if a snag occurred or tackle change required, he would give the spare rod so you could keep fishing. We caught a number of different species and tried a number of spots for others as well. Very enjoyable and Austin is also very personable. Highly recommended.

8 hours plus with Captain Austin
Lots of great eating fish caught. Larger fish like snook and tarpon weren’t eating the day I went because of how cold it was. Caught lots of mangrove snappers and a couple sheepshead. My favorite activity overall was definitely trolling for jacks and spotted sea trout. Captain was great and was entertaining and easy to have conversations with. 10/10 would recommend
