Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Red Grouper, Mackerel, Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Skipjack Tuna, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, and who knows what else! For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

You’ll be dropping lines from a 28’ Super Panga with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

Don’t leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
