The Wild Bunch Sportfishing 

Make the most of your time in Hawai’i nei, take in the sights and beaches of Honolulu, and go fishing with The Wild Bunch Sportfishing crew! With Captain Danny Kalahele at the helm, you’ll have one of the select few Native Hawaiian Captains behind the wheel for your adventure in the great blue Pacific. 

He will be more than willing to assist with information about the islands as well as other suggestions for activities and any cultural clarification or inquiries you may have! As a dedicated steward of his beloved mother Ocean, Captain Danny will always make sure everyone is happy and safe and the great blue mother is honored and treated with gratitude and respect for all that she provides to beautiful Hawaii and her people.

Species like Mahi Mahi, Striped Marlin, Shortbill Spearfish, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Giant Trevally, Bigeye Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll chasing big game with suitable heavy tackle.

Capt. Danny operates a 41’ Pacifica sportfishing vessel with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are included so no need to worry about bringing anything except a positive attitude and good vibrations!

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip or above is customary.

No fishing license is required. Please bring sunglasses, bottled water, snacks, and sunscreen (non-spray). Coolers with ample ice will be on board so bring all the food and drinks you may want for your trip as the trip is Bring Your Own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles.
