Spend a day fishing the waters off Ucluelet, British Columbia, with Oceans West Adventures. Target Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Lingcod along the rock line, or venture offshore to the banks for Halibut and Salmon.
Captain Owen offers a guest-centered approach gives novice and experienced anglers alike a great foundation for a successful day aboard.
You’ll fish a 26’ Monaro with new seating for 4 guests. Powered by **hidden content**hp and 20hp Suzuki outboards and a comprehensive navigational suite from Simrad and Raymarine. This vessel does have a private marine head (toilet) forward.
Safety is at the forefront of our minds at Oceans West Adventures. This vessel carries safety gear meeting or exceeding Transport Canada standards.
This vessel is deep at the gunnels, which is great for added security while playing fish and containing kids (and kids at heart).
We welcome kids on our trips. When booking with children under 12, please mention their ages in your message so we can confirm trip suitability and suggest any trip alterations when beneficial.
The species you can encounter on your trip include Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish. You can retain or release the fish you catch.
Oceans West Adventures provides premium fishing gear and will clean your catch after the trip. Please bring snacks and drinks for your group, as well as fishing licenses.

My wife, son (8 yr), and I did a half day trip with Oceans West Adventures. It was great! We are beginners and Captain Owen was able to get us on to fish (Chinook, lingcod, and rock fish). Everyone had a great time - my son hasn't stopped talking about his lingcod since. Scott (the owner) checked in with me the day before to confirm departure time, our goals, licensing needs, and answer any questions we had - he made it super easy. We were really pleased with the experience. We'll be back for a full day charter next time.

We booked Ocean West Adventures for our BC vacation celebrating my 50 my daughter 11 birthday. They were fantastic in every way.
Owen is an incredible guide, took great care of us. My daughter was nervous about the open ocean and he was great about avoiding heavy seas, provided gorgeous scenery, found great fish leading to a very memorable experience.
My daughter (11) loved every bit of her first time fishing like this, as did my wife and I. Owen was also incredibly patient and hospitable, the boat was very comfortable and well equipped. At the end of our 6 hour morning we stopped by his crab traps, a wonderful added element to our trip and really fun experience for us "mountain folk."
After we returned to our apartment we had an incredible salmon and crab dinner. First class!! We really appreciate what you all have in Ucluelet! A great way end our vacation, and we will definitely see you again.

What a blast! This was our family's fourth fishing charter trip in British Columbia and our favorite so far.
The boat was great. It is spacious, clean, and has lots of seating for five. Nice big and wide boat, which helped make it comfortable for us on the water (it was a bit wavy for our afternoon trip).
Scott was super helpful getting us set up with licenses and answering our questions prior to the trip.
Our guide was very accommodating with the kids and put us on a half dozen beautiful chinook salmon.
Great experience and we will have salmon for the bbq all summer!
I highly recommend a trip with Oceans West Adventures.

Our experience with Captain Owen was exceptional. Despite being amateur fishermen from Bhutan embarking on our first ocean trip, he was skilled and understanding. Although we had originally booked a 4-hour trip, some of our team members fell ill and we had to return early. However, Captain Owen made sure to make the most of our time on the water, providing us with a fantastic sea fishing experience. Not only did he help us catch a huge lingcod, but we also managed to reel in some crabs. Overall, Captain Owen's expertise and generosity made our fishing trip unforgettable.
