Pacific Fishing & Tours is here to show you the stunning waters of Nuevo Vallarta. Your guide for the day is Captain Carlos, which means you’ll tap into years of professional experience.
Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Bonito, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. For these species, you’re likely to troll using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Carlos also offers kite fishing.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 22’ Hydra-Sport walkaround that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks available on board.

10 Hour Trip – Offshore
1st day inshore 2nd day offshore
I went for six hours inshore hoping to catch a roster fish. We didn't have any luck with the rosters as they were at the end of the season. We caught some skipjacks and had a delicious meal of ceviche on the boat. It was a great day. The second day I took my daughter and we went for a 10 hour offshore trip. We missed some yellow fin tuna and a Marlin. A sea lion did not help us out when we were on the Marlin which was disappointing. We caught a small Dorado and some more Skip Jacks. Had some more Ceviche. When we got back to the marina the fish were filleted and we took the fillets back to the resort we were staying at for supper. Mitch's ceviche was better than the ceviche that the resort made us. Thanks for the wonderful trip and hope to go fishing with you again on our next trip.

Great time with Captain Mitchell
We spent the whole day hunting fish, I was hoping for Dorado, but we hooked a Blue Marlin for a huge upgrade. The equipment was excellent and Captain Mitchell kept presenting different baits until we got the 8 foot monster on board. I have been out several times in PV and I highly recommend this boat and crew!

4 Hour Trip – Sunset
diehard fisherman!
My wife and I booked a 4 hour sunset trip quite last minute due to the sloooow shore fishing that I was experiencing (along with everyone else) at PV. When we arrived at the dock we were given the option of fishing for bonita, which they absolutely hammered in the morning, or trying for some jacks (I had messaged them that I was more interested in fewer, bigger fish prior to the trip). The jack pursuit was explained to be much more hit and miss due to changing conditions, but I've caught (literally) a million sub-10 pound fish in my life so I opted to try for the bigger jacks. I really appreciated the honesty of the guys and they were totally up for tweaking the trip however we wanted. Most importantly they knew the bay like the back of their hands and were without a doubt the most skilled fisherman that I have been with. My wife (who has endured hundreds of thousands of hours in the boat with me and can get a little annoyed at my never-say-die attitude - "let's just try one more spot...") leaned over after about 3 hours of watching and listening to the guys (she speaks Spanish) and said "...I can't believe there are other fisherman as diehard as you - all they are talking about is how to get us on more fish this whole time." Overall we had a blast and ate the best ceviche I've ever had on the boat with some of our fresh catch. Highly recommend!

3 Hour Trip – Sunset
Couldn't have asked for a better trip
We had the absolute best time on this trip. Our captain and his first mate were both incredibly knowledgeable, taking us to the places where they knew we would catch fish - and boy did we! My son and I pulled in 6 large Bonita in less than 4 hours. The captain took the smallest one and made the freshest ceviche of our lives right on the boat (and there was tons leftover - that's how beautiful these fish were) and then he cleaned and packaged the other 5 for me. My only regret was that I didn't offer some to them - because it completely slipped my mind; this was my fist time ocean fishing, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. In addition to the fishing, we saw so much wildlife, with the crew pointing out everything along the way; they were so knowledgeable about the ocean, the area, the animals, and of course the fishing - just a perfect day! Again, I wish I shared more of the catch with them, but like I said, it didn't even occur to me until I was on my way home. I could not recommend these guys more than I am right now. I wish I could give them more stars and post some pictures, but if you're in the puerto Vallarta area and want the time of your life, book with them. Don't look elsewhere, don't bother shopping around - it would be really hard to top this. We can't wait to go again…with them.

Great fishing experience
My son wanted to try inshore fishing so we hooked up with Mitchell and George for a 4hr trip. Great crew, very good with kids - teaching him the basics, hardworking to get us the best experience and very friendly. We line caught 10 fish (bonito, mackerel and skipjack) and would definitely recommend this boat/crew to others. Gracias señores

Couldn't have asked for a better trip
3 Hour Trip – Sunset on February 8, 2025
We had the absolute best time on this trip. Our captain and his first mate were both incredibly knowledgeable, taking us to the places where they knew we would catch fish - and boy did we! My son and I pulled in 6 large Bonita in less than 4 hours. The captain took the smallest one and made the freshest ceviche of our lives right on the boat (and there was tons leftover - that's how beautiful these fish were) and then he cleaned and packaged the other 5 for me. My only regret was that I didn't offer some to them - because it completely slipped my mind; this was my fist time ocean fishing, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. In addition to the fishing, we saw so much wildlife, with the crew pointing out everything along the way; they were so knowledgeable about the ocean, the area, the animals, and of course the fishing - just a perfect day! Again, I wish I shared more of the catch with them, but like I said, it didn't even occur to me until I was on my way home. I could not recommend these guys more than I am right now. I wish I could give them more stars and post some pictures, but if you're in the puerto Vallarta area and want the time of your life, book with them.
