Spend the day with Marina Charters and find out what the fishing in Coco is all about!
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Amberjack, Barracuda, Snappers, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Groupers, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, and more, depending on the season. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Kids are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 34’ Ocean Master sportfishing vessel with space for 9 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more. Don’t forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
Marina Charters will make it easy for you to go fishing in Coco. So, how about booking that trip?
