Book your next trip with Georgia Coast Charters and find out what makes the fishing on Tybee Island so unique.
Species like Black Seabass, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Sheepshead, Cobia, Grunt, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Gag Grouper, Black Drum, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are never a bad idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You’ll step aboard a 31’ Delta Sportfisher with space for 6 passengers. It comes with a trolling motor, outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is included (seasonally), but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain. Don’t leave home without sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Georgia Coast Charters!
