Make the most of your time in West Forks and go fishing with Sweet Water Angler.

On the day of your trip, we will float down the Kennebec River in a drift boat-style raft. You fish while your guide does all the rowing. We’ll be using spinning gear and light tackle. Our target species is the Smallmouth Bass.  These fish are aggressive and hungry.  Which usually means a ton of action.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids and beginners are welcome! We’ll have you casting like a pro in a few short minutes before we get on the water, Children 10 and under must wear life vests, which will be available if needed. We provide all the gear you’ll need and transportation to and from the river.  We also have a generous supply of snacks and water on the boat.

You’ll be fishing from a 13’ self-bailing raft. These rafts can accommodate 2 passengers and have plenty of room for gear or an extra cooler. Have more than 2 people? We’d be happy to make arrangements for another raft and licensed guide.

If you are 16 years or older you will need a fishing license for the trip. Licenses are available online.

Don’t forget your sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, and rain jacket (we fish rain or shine). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. There will be some light snacks available on board.
