Make an adventure from your next trip to Cape Cod and go fishing with Cape Fishing Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain John, which allows you to benefit from years of local experience.
Local species include Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Flounder, Cod, Haddock, Striped Bass, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Seabass, and more with any luck.
You’ll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 25’ Pilothouse that holds up to 6 passengers. It is a USCG-inspected vessel and carries a life raft and survival suits in addition to all other required safety equipment. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Even though the captain is licensed for up to six passengers, due to limited space on board it is more comfortable fishing 1-4 anglers. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. John has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Cape Fishing Charters and get hooked!

Having engaged in recreational fishing for more than four decades, Captain John has owned and operated various boats during this extensive period. With an enduring passion for spending time on the water, the transition into retirement from a primary occupation has afforded more opportunities to indulge in this activity. Recent years have been dedicated to the pursuit of offshore fishing, with a focus on targeting Bluefin tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Cod. Among the many fishing experiences, a standout memory includes Captain John's successful capture of a remarkable 95lb Halibut during a Cod fishing expedition.
