Book your next trip with Irish Charters and find out what the fishing in Port Clinton is all about. With Captain Chris at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.

These waters are known for Walleye, Yellow Perch, Smallmouth Bass, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, it’s common to drift using light tackle.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 30’ Sport-Craft sportfishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. You can’t go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Irish Charters!
