Pamlico Fly Guide Service – Washington
There’s a fish with your name on it in Washington and Pamlico Fly Guide Service will help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Kyle, bringing aboard years of knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. For these species, you’re likely to use light tackle. Capt. Kyle also offers fly fishing.
You’ll step aboard a 20’ KenCraft skiff that holds up to 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods and reels are covered by the charter. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

8 Hour Trip – Inshore
Wonderful day on the Pamlico!
Kyle is a talented young man with a love for Fly fishing along with a lifetime of experience on the Pamlico. This was my first opportunity to book a trip while in Washington, NC. Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene knocked out our first attempt, so we re-scheduled for the following day. While not completely unexpected, conditions were not ideal for sight fishing Reds. However, I have never had a guide who worked harder to try and get me on some fish. He took me to every spot he knew on the flats, and I know he was disappointed… However, I’ve spent a lifetime fishing and know this will happen from time to time. Kyle showed me a beautiful day on the Pamlico, helped me improve my distance casting with some great pointers, and simply helped make the best of a challenging day. I would highly recommend him for your Fly fishing outing, and plan to book him next time I’m in Washington, NC.
