If you plan on fishing in Stillwater, Marine on St. Croix, Bayport, or Hudson, look no further than Croix Boys Guided Adventures. Your guide for the day is Captain Ryan, who allows you to benefit from years of knowledge and experience of fishing.
These waters hold game fish like Walleye, Sturgeon, Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, White Bass, Largemouth Bass, and more, depending on the time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll or pull live bait with bottom bouncers.
Your vessel for the day is a 2022 Hewescraft Pro V 200 22’ forward counsel aluminum fishing machine that can carry up to 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide St. Croix rods, reels, as well as lures, and live bait.
You will need a fishing license, unless you are 15 or younger. A wisconsin or minnesota fishing license is valid for fishing the St. Croix River, but you will need a Minnesota license if you are wanting to keep fish.
A few items to bring includes sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, drinks and snacks of your choice. There will be water on board. Alcohol and smoke is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

(Meeting location will vary depending on where the bite is happening. If you wish to fish a specific location, let the captain know. We fish out of william O’brien State Park, Boom Site Public Launch-Stillwater, St. croix Crossing- Stillwater, and Beanies Marina-Lakeland. The Captain will let you know where we will be meeting a day or two before our trip. It just depends on where the fish are biting. Full Day Guided Fishing Trip on May 14, 2026 • 2 adultsToday was our first Trip with Croix Boys and Captain Ryan Bunnell. if youre wondering what a first trip would be like, let me tell you: He was waiting for us when we got to the launch. the boat was spotless, he was genuinely welcoming and it was a very comfortable experience and felt like we were long time friends! My adult son and I went walleye fishing on an 8 hour trip with Captain Ryan. We had to most fun in years. Ryan knew where the fish were and what they were biting on. We caught 35 fish by my count and bagged our limit of beautiful walleyes! We had so much fun, I couldn’t believe how fast the day went by! When we got to the dock, we took our gear to our vehicle, when we went back to get our last stuff Captain Ryan had already cleaned all the fish and had them bagged up. Super fun, super nice guy and a fair price! I hope this helps you decide if this sounds like fun to you. It sure checked all of our boxes!

Weather was hot and it was an afternoon trip, but the captain found the bite and we had a blast. We caught a bunch of great small mouth bass, along with a bunch of other fish. This was one of the greatest trips I've been on in awhile. Captain Ryan was great to fish with, will definitely book again with Croix boys next time I'm inthe area.

Stergeon fishing was good till the rain came. We got a 52 and a 45 inch fish and several smaller ones. Our Captain did a great job and was very knowledgeable!!!!
