These waters are known for Great Barracuda, Black Drum, Cobia, Goliath Grouper, Pompano, Tripletail, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Hammerhead Shark, and more – with any luck, you’ll hook into a few! On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with Reel Thrills Fishing Charters are kid-friendly, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks!
Your adventure begins aboard a 25’ Parker center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don’t leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Excellent experience
Captain Erix was absolutely incredible. My family charters a fishing boat everywhere we go. He was hands down the best. He was polite and professional. He put us on the fish with ease and worked his tail off for us. We caught 12 Goliath grouper and multiple mackerel. His boat was perfectly clean. Based on my family's past experiences, I would say that you would be irresponsible to not hire Erix if you have the opportunity to do so. I can't think of a single thing I would have changed or preferred to be different about our trip.

Great trip!
Captain Erix is the man! If you are looking for a knowledgeable captain who will show you how to fish properly book a trip with him. I had never fished before, within five minutes of anchoring down I had caught my first fish with his help. My family and I got along greatly with Captain Erix, he was very outgoing and friendly with a great personality. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. My family and I will definitely book a trip with him again.

Captain Erix Delivers
Took my family out on a 4 hour afternoon trip early August. Before I could mention we didn’t want to catch any catfish, Captain Erix already had a plan. We fished structure near shore and connected on 2 Goliath’s one right after another. Shark, trout, other grouper were all caught as well. None keepers but a good day on the water. We couldn’t avoid catching catfish but as soon as they started to come up, Cap moved us to a different spot. Knowledgeable and family friendly.

Fishing in Marco!
My family and I had the best time! Captain Erix was very knowledgeable and helped myself as well as our boys who weren’t experienced at all. I was only going to observe but ended up participating and caught the most fish out of the group. Fishing with Captain Erix was the highlight of the trip for our boys. My youngest said it was his favorite activity we did and trust me we did it all from the pool, to eco tour two person boats, and going to the beach. We all caught fish and Captain Erix even filet the fish for us. We cooked them later that evening and they were delicious! We will definitely be booking with Captain Erix in the future when we visit. I would definitely recommend Captain Erix for your fishing adventure.

Great trip out!
Eric didn’t take us out super far and waste our fishing time. He seemed to go RIGHT where he knew we would get bikes. He asked what we were looking for (my 5 year old wanted a shark & my 9 year old wanted a cool FL fish.) he came through with loads of baby shark for my son!! Both of them! Total we caught over 20 baby shark and about catfish! Each time we reel it in Erix was RIGHT THERE to get the fish and reload the bait. Such a perfect two hours! He was AWESOME with the kids too. Highly recommend. He also gave us the option to TRY out another spot for the “cool” fish BUT he said it could be a miss. So we opt to stay where we were plucking them!
