Welcome to LZ Fishing Charters, located in beautiful Anna Maria Island, FL, specializing in offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay! Your captain, Zack Horton, is an avid angler and outdoorsmen with a love for fishing and everything the ocean has to offer. With Capt. Zack you not only are hopping aboard with a knowledgeable fishing captain, but a Capt. that loves to share in and educate with others about the environment and all of the different species of wildlife that you are sure to see on your day on the water.
As far as the fishing goes, your Capt. will reach out and talk to you and your party prior to your trip about what you’re specifically looking to do/catch! Primary targets depending on the time of the year include different species of Snapper, Hogfish, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Red and Gag Grouper, Porgies, Grunts, Cobia, and even Mahi. Of course the sharks are ever present as well!
LZ Charters fishes out of a large 26’ Deep V Center Console powered by twin 175 horsepower Suzuki outboards. This boat cruises at 35 kts with a max speed of 50 kts. It has the horsepower to get you and your crew out to the fishing grounds fast! Fishing with a max of 4 anglers, this allows the Capt. and the anglers to have more than enough room to work when reels start singing and fish start hitting the deck. Aboard you’ll find a spot lock trolling motor, 30 rod holders, top of the line GPS and fish finding electronics, a sound system and of course all of the required USCG safety equipment. Capt. Zack provides all of the fishing licenses for your party, all of the rod and reels, the tackle, the bait, a cooler full of ice and bottled water. Simply bring your drinks, bring some snacks, some sunblock (rub on please), don’t forget the sunglasses and you’re ready to roll!!!

3 Hour Tampa Bay Fishing Trip
Strongly recommend
Captain Zack communicated very well and helped us change our day for better weather! He reached out daily with updates on weather and called to talk about the trip and what we could and should bring. He was ready for us when we arrived at the dock and took us right to the fish! We were consistently catching a handful of different species with both keepers and catch and release. He was very personable and helpful to those who didn’t have as much fishing experience. He even followed some dolphins around for a little bit per request and got them to follow and jump in the wake on the way in. Captain Zack was awesome and I would absolutely take another charter with him when we come back!

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore (AM)
Capt.’s ZACH runs one of the best charters that we’ve ever been on very professional courteous highly recommend any type of fishing charter with this gentleman. He was absolutely great.
Captain ZACH is very professional knowledgeable and customer focus Upon arriving for our appointment for a six hour charter. Boat and equipment was in excellent condition very clean. Captain ZACH went over boat safety And went over our expectations for our fishing charter explain what we would be catching .He knew the area very well and he focused on my grandson which I was very appreciative went over the details of what type of fish will be trying to catch, etc., equipment We caught over 30 fish. Both my grandson and myself were very happy with our experience one of the best . I recommend Capt. ZACH for any type of charter. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable, and we appreciate every effort he did for us thank you,

Best fishing trip!!!
Hands down the best fishing trip I’ve been on. Captain Zack was amazing. He went above and beyond. I have been on many fishing trips from East Coast to West Coast down to the Caribbean. Captain Zack was very knowledgeable, attentive, and overall just a really cool dude, does not get better than this. If you don’t believe me book a trip and prove me wrong. When I come back to Florida on vacation I’m going to definitely book a fishing trip with him again. Totally worth every penny. The memories I made with my family were priceless.

We had an amazing time on our half-day fishing trip! The captain was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He knew the waters well and made the whole experience enjoyable and easy, especially for those of us who aren’t seasoned anglers. The boat was perfect for a small group, and we even caught a couple of fish! It was a relaxing and fun outing—we’d definitely book again and highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

3 Hour Tampa Bay Fishing Trip
Extremely fun and relaxing trip!
Captain Zack was an amazing and knowledgeable host. We caught a lot of fish and had a lot of laughs. All around it was just an incredible experience. I wish I would have booked a longer trip. I promise you cannot go wrong booking this Captain for your fishing trip. I have fished AMI before with a different charter and had a horrible experience. I’m glad I found Captain Zack. He is now my go to fishing charter. He’s worth every penny.
