Shorten your learning curve for fishing the Long Island Sound and learn the patterns and techniques to target our local species with light tackle. Or just relax and have a good time catching some fish! Captain James will tailor the trip based on your targeted species and skill level.
Norwalk Islands Fishing specializes in catching bass, bluefish, and false albacore casting artificial lures and files, in addition to bottomfishing seasonally for blackfish, black sea bass, fluke, and porgy. We will also occasionally fish using live or cut bait to target trophy sized bass. There will be no trolling, or wire line heavy rod and reels. This is generally an active fishing where you will be casting for much of the trip and have rods in hand all day, unless specified otherwise.
You'll be dropping lines from a 21' SeaCraft Open Fisherman center console, it is the smoothest and driest ride in the fleet. It can accommodate 3 passengers and comes with all tackle needed.
A few items to bring include polarized sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), raingear, bottled water, snacks and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, feel free. Remember it is always roughly 10 degrees colder on the water.
